Excavation & Site Work — Connecticut | B&L Outdoors
Excavation · Connecticut

Excavation contractor in Connecticut.

Grading, clearing, drainage, foundation prep, driveways, and utility trenching. Owner on every job. Equipment we own — not rentals.

Dirt, drainage, and site prep.

If it moves with a bucket or a blade, we do it. Residential and light commercial across Connecticut.

We've been running excavation work since 2016 — starting with driveway grading and drainage fixes, now covering full site prep for new builds and additions. We keep the equipment on our own truck, we operate it ourselves, and The team is on every estimate. No layered subs, no surprise change orders.

Typical jobs: backyard regrading, tree and stump removal, French drains and curtain drains, footings and foundation dig-outs, gravel and asphalt driveway prep, water and electric trenching. Ask if you don't see it — if it's a fit for our gear, we'll quote it.

Excavation FAQs.

Is there a minimum project size?

No hard minimum. We take on single-day jobs like a drainage trench or stump removal, as well as multi-day site prep for foundations and driveways. If it's a fit for our equipment, we'll quote it.

Do you handle permits?

We'll tell you up front whether your job needs a permit — things like foundation work, utility tie-ins, or wetlands setbacks typically do. We can coordinate with your town on standard residential permits. Homeowner or GC pulls the permit, we handle the inspection-ready work.

How soon can you start?

Small residential work (drainage, grading, trenching) usually lands on the schedule within 1–2 weeks. Larger site prep depends on permit timelines and weather. Emergency work — collapsed drain, washout, storm damage — gets priority.
